Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS)

Evergreen is excited to continue our PBIS journey. We’ve refreshed our system to better serve students in all settings. Students who are Safe, Respectful, and Responsible earn individual acknowledgements to fill their debit cards, and classes collect stickers toward shared goals. Explore our progress in the slides and hear students explain Tier 1 PBIS in the video.

What is PBIS?

PBIS is a decision-making framework that guides schools to select and implement proven academic and behavioral practices so all students succeed. It emphasizes clear expectations, proactive teaching, consistent acknowledgement, and data-informed decisions.

  • Engaging, responsive, and preventive learning environments
  • Strong classroom management and clear expectations
  • Tiered supports for students who need more help
  • Maximized academic engagement and achievement

PBIS at Evergreen: How it Works

  • Students earn individual acknowledgements toward their debit cards for being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible.
  • Classes collect stickers to reach a class goal.
  • School-wide golden points build toward the next celebration.
  • Progress is shared in the slides above.
