Lego Club
Evergreen LEGO Club
Evergreen LEGO Club is an after-school program for fourth and fifth graders that brings building, creativity, and problem-solving together. Students explore guided challenges and free-build time as they design, test, and refine their creations.
Open to Grades 4 & 5

All experience levels are welcome—no prior LEGO experience is needed.
About the Club
LEGO Club meets 5–6 times throughout January and February as an after-school activity. Each session includes:
- Guided building challenges led by staff or volunteers.
- Free-build time for students to explore their own ideas.
- Space to collaborate, experiment, and try new building techniques.
Bricks, baseplates, and a variety of interesting elements are available for students to use.
What Students Build
During guided challenges, students might be asked to:
- Construct the tallest tower that can withstand a “fan earthquake.”
- Design a vehicle that travels the farthest down a ramp.
- Create a contraption using LEGO pieces to solve a specific task.
During free-build, students can bring their own ideas to life or simply relax and build with friends.
Skills & Benefits
LEGO Club gives students a chance to practice:
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Creative thinking and design.
- Problem-solving and persistence.
- Fine motor skills and spatial reasoning.
Most of all, LEGO Club is a fun place for builders to imagine, explore, and have fun together.
