Running Club
Evergreen Running Club
The Evergreen Running Club gives students a fun, encouraging way to stay active and build healthy habits. Runners meet once a week in early fall to walk or jog a lap course around the Evergreen property, setting goals, tracking progress, and celebrating effort together.
Open to Grades 4 & 5
Who Can Join?
The Evergreen Running Club is open to 4th and 5th grade students who:
- Enjoy running, jogging, or walking with friends.
- Want a fun way to stay active after school.
- Are willing to try their best and encourage others.
All abilities are welcome—students can move at a pace that feels right for them.
About the Club
The club meets once a week for six weeks in early fall. Each week, students:
- Walk or jog a marked course around the Evergreen property.
- Earn Shoe Tokens for each completed lap to track their progress.
- Set personal goals and celebrate milestones along the way.
The season concludes with a celebratory Fun Run, proudly supported by volunteers from the Holmen High School Cross Country (HHS XC) teams.
Meeting Details
Running Club typically runs for a six-week season in early fall.

- Activities may be adjusted for weather and safety.
Note: Specific dates, times, and meeting locations are shared in school communications each year.
How It Works
Students earn a Shoe Token for each completed lap during club time.
- Tokens help students track total laps over the season.
- Progress can be used to set and celebrate personal goals.
- The final Fun Run brings everyone together to recognize effort and growth.
The Holmen High School Cross Country (HHS XC) teams join the Fun Run to cheer on runners and model Viking Pride in action.
